Suncokret (soon-so-kret) is the Croatian word for Sunflower and is a metaphor for our inspirational story.
 
Founded in 2004, Suncokret is the first holistic retreat center in Croatia to consciously blend yoga & holistic healing technologies with the local way of life as ideal compliments to one another.
 
We offer a unique sanctuary in which to restore, rebalance, and renew the body, mind, and soul and aim to inspire, educate, and empower others to rise up and shine like sunflowers in the sun, as we are all meant to.

How it all Started

Suncokret is the result of one woman's dream to live a healthier, more aligned to Self and Source life than the one she was living. This sparked a spiritual healing journey; one which led to a total holistic lifestyle makeover, which eventually rendered a deep inner calling to share that transformative experience with the world.

In 2003 that woman met her life partner, a Hvar Island native, and together they would mold their talents and gifts into a unified lifestyle vision called "Suncokret" whose mission is to honor and share the blessings of their unique merger with others.

 

We invite you to experience the offerings of Suncokret Dream; may they inspire your own unique blossoming!

Evening Marie and Stipe have created an absolute paradise on Hvar Island. This was the most beautiful retreat I've been to. From start to finish, it was the perfect place to relax, reflect and reset. The rooms/cottages are so thoughtfully decorated and really, really lovely. You can see the care that has gone into each space. You're completely surrounded by nature and everything you could want during your stay is provided. The yoga and meditation sessions were varied, insightful and very conducive to self-reflection (thank you Evening Marie!). The breakfast and dinner were delicious every day (thanks Stipe!). We had ample time to explore the neighbouring villages and swim in the beautiful clear waters. Everything was very well organised. Exactly what I needed, in a stunning setting. Definitely recommend!
