Before becoming a yoga teacher, I studied law and worked for several years as a corporate legal advisor. About seven years ago, I chose to become self-employed, which gave me the freedom to travel, work remotely, and organize my time around well-being and the things that truly nourish me.

As I prepare for an upcoming retreat season in Suncokret on the beautiful island of Hvar in Croatia, I feel deeply compelled to reflect on what has been at the core of my journey recently: unshaming. It’s a concept that has guided me, especially in the past few months, as I packed my life into a backpack and set off on an adventure across Southeast Asia, then returned to India.

My mom took me to my first yoga class when I was 12. I had no idea what was happening. I was a bit bored, yet deep down, I felt the benefits of the practice. A few years later, when I was 17, I traveled to Sri Lanka, where I got a deeper glimpse into the roots of yoga. Now, at almost 26, I have been deepening my practice and understanding of yoga for about 9 years.
